Woman finds husband’s ‘other wife’ through Facebook friend suggestion
Why a man would want a wife is a mystery to some people. Why a man would want two is a bigamy-stery. Why a man would have both of those wives, who don’t know about each other, as friends on Facebook, forgetting that the popular social network site may link the two wives up via the ‘people you may know’ function, is no mystery but rather just stupidity. Facebook, not content with making those quadrupedal vomit factories known as ‘couples’ even more hateful with couple accounts, is now outing bigamists.
Alan O’Neil, formerly Alan Fulk, of Pierce County USA married his first wife (who I will henceforth call Wife #1, to prevent confusion) in 2001 and moved out eight years later without divorcing her. Instead, he changed his name to O’Neil, probably thinking that American women dig Irishmen, and quickly found another wife who may or may not have dug Irishmen (her name will be Wife #2). A short time later Wife #1 was suggested a friend on Facebook who turned out to be Wife #2. On her new ‘friend’s’ profile Wife #1 found pictures of Wife #2 and her husband cutting a wedding cake. Wife #1, angry that her husband had remarried, promptly called the police. Got it?
In a twist with more irony than Ironman ironing the wrinkles out of Margaret Thatcher on a bed of iron filings, Alan worked as a Pierce County corrections officer. But his illegal bigamous behaviour means he now faces administrative leave and one year in jail if convicted. Maybe he’ll try and coordinate both of his wives’ conjugal visits in history’s worst attempt at organising a threesome.
